Technical Support / Re: Game doesn't launch (Steam)

I have the same game.txt and the exact same problem. I already tried updating every redistributable, re installing them manually, updating my graphics drivers, verifying the game cache, uninstalling and re installing, using the standalone version, and changing resolution and fullscreen in the config. I also tried using the openAL extension, and, of course, restarting my computer. Even after scouring every possible forum, I still cannot find the solution to this.
