If you are using an Archer, you can keep shooting him from the distance and his spells won't reach you at all.
I think he teleports to different places only at the start of each phase (100% / 75% / 50% / 25%).
During each phase his movement is very limited - he keeps moving forwards and backwards (it can be tricky as you should always keep the distance from his spells and sometimes he stands too far away to be visible on the screen - you can still see him on the map though).

The goal is to stay as far from him as possible while still doing the damage.
If possible, position yourself to shoot him horizontally (left - right) instead of vertically - you will have much higher view range on the screen.
The "crap load of seeking energy balls" phase shouldn't be a problem at all - his spells still won't reach you - just keep the distance.

lol, I didn't know there is a 'proper' battle - I couldn't survive that long : (((
Does he has alot of HP? Should I focus on farming the crystals and invest in upgrades, or just DPS him instead?

I thought the Survival level is no longer in game, but these two achievements are still in available:

Crystal Lich
Kill the Crystal Lich in the survival level on medium difficulty without having any crutches enabled

Hard Crystal Lich
Kill the Crystal Lich in the survival level on hard difficulty without having any crutches enabled

Do I have to kill these monsters in one single campaign, or can I use multiple campaigns + both single / multiplayer?
For example, can I just repeat Floor 1 over and over again to get the achievement?

Hammerwatch Discussion / I've just finished the game, and I have a few requests to developers!

First of all, thank you so much for making this incredible game! I really enjoyed it!

Even though I've already finished the game I'd love to keep playing occasionally. I'd like to get more achievements and play co-op with friends. Unfortunately there are some problems discouraging me from doing so.

1. There is some kind of savegame bug which causes co-op players to loose their character data - after rejoining the game all they get is the gold instead. It really needs to be fixed because it's causing alot of trouble to players.

2. The hard difficulty achievements (Dragon/Lich/Knight/Queen) should automatically grant the medium ones. Otherwise, after beating the game on Hard people would have to repeat everything on Medium which is kinda pointless.

3. Multiplayer should be way more forgiving to life limits. As for now, lives are shared among the players. Because of that I cannot really host a 'public' game, because random players will quickly waste all the lives I've gathered. It's just not fair. Normally, I'd just enable the 'infinite lives' crutch, but it'd prevent me from getting all "without having any crutches enabled" achievements. I don't think it's wise to discourage players from co-op as this is where the game really shines...

4. There really should be a counter allowing people to see how many planks they have. It's very easy to lose count
