Bug Reports / system sound is turned off whenever game is launched

Whenever i launch the game, my entire system's sound is turned off (i stop hearing my spotify, skype and game music). I check the audio mixer and it has not changed. Rebooting seems to fix the problem. Occasionally when i am playing i hear the sound of a maggot nest exploding but nothing else? 
I have checked and it is definitely whenever i play hammerwatch.
I would really appreciate it if this bug is fixed or a solution is found! Thanks in advance!
