« on: August 26, 2013, 12:56:54 PM »
I'm looking for the way up to the extra life and the green chests but didn't find any crackable wall or switch.
Also the trap will kill me each time I want to rush the way up to the right.
How do i get there?! I'm tired of searching :(

If you know the way PM me so nobody get spoiled!

Thanks in advice :)

if you do not have a life left, you are game over. you will only spawn on your last checkpoint if you have lives left.

following your tutorial and tried this:

Now you’ve got the basics of the button, but the area trigger isn’t connected to the change state doodad, so it will not tell it to run when pressed.
To fix this select the area trigger hold ctrl-alt and click on the change doodad state.
This will tell the area trigger to change the graphics for the button when someone stands in the area, simply move the area over the top of the button and when a player stands on it the button will change its graphic to a pressed down button.

this don't work on mac. pressing ctrl + leftclick on mac just do a rightclick and spawns another script.

Technical Support / Re: Hammerwatch Port Fowarding

look up port forwarding in your routersettings. if you do not have access to your router, ask your local admin to open ports.
for more information just google "port forwarding" + "your router model" (and maybe + "help" :D)

Bug Reports / Hammerwatch crashes on Exit
« on: August 16, 2013, 07:29:36 AM »
When hitting quit on Mac, Hammerwatch crashes and if you weren't playing in windowed mode, you have to shut down and restart your Mac, because you cannot get back to desktop.

No errorlog! :(

1. Paladin is utterly useless, it takes like 4 shots and he's dead. Being a melee class fighting the projectile shooters is impossible. I always just ignore and run past them.

- Paladin can block incoming projectiles.

Quote
2. It would be better if enemies can shoot more projectiles, i feel the projectile numbers aren't enough (really easy to never getting hit at all)

- Playing on a higher difficulty makes them shoot more projectiles, on easy the red maggot shots 2, on medium 3, on hard 5 (or 6?) projectiles.

Quote
3. Mage flamethrower is utterly useless as it's a channeling spell and BAM one shotted by any kind of projectiles. I just use the normal attack.

- I things it's not useless, high AOE damage! But the point with incoming projectiles is a big thing, especially while it's overlaying all other stuff. maybe the flames should burn them ;)

Quote
4. Needs way more environmental hazard like ground spikes and wall arrow shooters etc.

- Maybe, maybe not! Act 4 has lot of traps :D

5. Might be cool if your character can attack while moving back or to other directions that isn't forward.

- NO!

To use it on mac you need to go in to the terminal and go to the editor folder and run the command "mono ResourceExtractor.exe ../assets.bin"

Bug Reports / HammerEditor Maptesting on Mac
« on: August 15, 2013, 12:21:12 PM »
From time to time the editor will start Hammerwatch and I can test my Map. But mostly Hammerwatch shortly showed up, closes instantly and that's it. Here is the log from Terminal:

Quote
Unhandled Exception:
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Negative timeout
Parameter name: millisecondsTimeout
  at System.Threading.Thread.Sleep (Int32 millisecondsTimeout) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
  at TiltedEngine.Audio.OggStreamer.EnsureBuffersFilled () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
  at System.Threading.Thread.StartInternal () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
[ERROR] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Negative timeout
Parameter name: millisecondsTimeout
  at System.Threading.Thread.Sleep (Int32 millisecondsTimeout) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
  at TiltedEngine.Audio.OggStreamer.EnsureBuffersFilled () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
  at System.Threading.Thread.StartInternal () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

So I just hit "Run Game" 10-15 times to start it and everything went well.

Additionally the mono process appears quite often in Activity Manager. (High CPU-load from the running Editor, other processes are dead ones from crashed Hammerwatch instances, I guess! Attached Screenshot)

Hope I could help!
