Another great feature would be adjust search by ping so you can fined closer people ... well just more adjustable search options

I forwarded the port, I'm in IT and do this kind of thing for people all the time. I also opened my NAT to open, even tried static routes and DMZ separately. Unless my router is "forwarding" but "not forwarding" this is likely my ISP blocking the port. I wish the port number used for the game was customizable :(

I'm in IT as well and that is a silly port to block. Who is your ISP because I've worked with a lot of them.

Here are a few things I would love to see. Make a small competition for map making with a prize of $100 or so, lots of people would compete and then the game would have many new maps with a few really good ones being chosen to be included in the game and the other still available for others to download. This would improve the replay value with almost no work from the 2 man team that made the game. Improve the game greatly while costing very little effort. I think it's a great idea.

and who is going to pay the $100 ? :p

You would have an entry fee

Obligatory: Great game! Now can you just completely rework it from the ground up? :P

lol yes slave over to remake the game. <.< >.>

it's not a total rework of the game of course but it would involve doing some rework. I was just planting a seed for later about thinking at least making an demo because people are lazy and most modern browsers support HTML5. It would allow them to try the game before downloading/buying it.

If re-downloading the game doesn't fix the issue then definitely re-install those video drives. If you don't know how to reinstall video drivers than you can try driver max free version which allows you to download 2 drivers a day.

I just went and bought the game again using the humble bundle store so I could have the DRM free with the soundtrack. I'll end up just giving the extra steam key to a friend.

Hammerwatch Discussion / HTML5?

Any thoughts about doing an HTML5 version? You should think about it even if it's for the demo only. HTML5 is really becoming the web standards and I know this type of game could run it.

Of course easier said then done.

So you guys don't have anything linking to these forums on the main page. I've looked on steam as well as tigsource and no easy place pointing here that I could tell. Do you want most of the interaction on steam's forums because those are normally people just complaining or those that shouldn't even touch a computer with a ten foot pole.

I feel a guide of light and hope. After i recently lost my windows to a crap virus i've been on linux. The ever so limited open source product called ubuntu. I recently purchased this lovely looking game and i thought i'm going to get hooked, until i tried to play it. That's when i saw the mono problem and fixed it. after that it worked. But all the game did was play Menu music and sit there frozen doing nothing at all. I need guidance unto what i need to do to make it work. i'm using a crappy HP computer with "unknown" graphics card. But if i can run GTA3 and Counter Strike as well as Postal 2 and 3, i think i can play Hammerwatch. any suggestions? please either message me on the forum on email me at "email removed from quote". Thank whoever takes time to read these btw :D

Linux is only limited to your capabilities otherwise it's unlimited since it is open source. People do compile and add their own tweaks to ubuntu and that is what it is their for. If anything is limited it is apple products. You should really go to the ubuntu forums for that type of help.

I can't wait for even half those features but the ones I'm most excited about is drop-in-join and I'm guessing masterserver is dedicated server and if it is I'll be running one.
The masterserver is for NAT punchthrough so people wont have to port forward.

Us server administrators get no love!!!
