Epic drums and pads should fit well Hammerwatch's ambiance. If you are looking for someone that will do exactly what you want, you'll have to pay him for sure.

That's not my case. Just check out my map Hotlane. It includes great tracks, really different from Hammerwatch's, but it fits pretty well to the game.

Lol. You haven't made any firetrap labyrinth isn't it ? It's about 8 scripts for 1 square. I made over 100 squares in my map in less than 1 hour. Just group your scripts and copy paste them. After that you link the change doodads scripts to your different doodads and it's done pretty fast.

Create a doodad with different doodad states. One good, one beign broken and one broke. Use the same script system as a breakable wall and it's done.

Yup, just load out the Hammerwatch.exe under the HammerEditor.exe. Play solo, custom and choose your map. You'll be able to select your map.

You can let the game launched on the main menu while editing your map, saving it and by launching a new custom game your map will be updated with the changes from editor :)

Atm I'm not asking for real PvP. Just some help for actual competitive PvE maps, I think that it's the Only way to get fun quickly when no one else is up for a whole campain. A little  map, simple to play but hard to master with a competition between player.

That's what I'm doing with Hotlane and I need some tweaks to make it better.

Different things : secrets and scripting when I was not skilled enough with manipulating them.

The problem is : it's hard to move from a category to an other one. There's no accessible main menu where you can move from one thing to an other. You have to use the search function everytime.

Just shut down the game and load your save. Wait for your friend to join and you'll be able to play. There are auto saves before every floor change.

It would be easier to have a chance to loot a pickup upgrades on all mobs... A very small chance, but sufficient to keep the player wanting to kill everything.

These wiki are ugly and not usefull : eveytime I'm looking for something it takes me 30 minutes or so. An other site structure would be way better.

Hehehe, spawning random things is easy  : random script run once activated , few spawn object, link random to them and point out the random with an acivator and it's done.

A private pick up upgrades would also be usefull in hardcore campains (an Armor upgrade : that's for the paladin !)

Greetings Hammerwatch developpement team,

I really like the new upgrade system, especially the fact that we can randomly spawn them with few scripts. The problem is : with the PvP coming out one day (I hope that it will be released one day), it would be cool to have privative pick up upgrades : Only the player that take the upgrade gets the benefit from it.

Is their a way to code something like that in the XMLs of upgrades with a special tag or something :o ?

Just check the "NAT/PAT" panel of your router and set a port TCP and UDP 9995 everywhere it asks you for the port number (you can access it usually by typing 192.168.1.1 in your web browser URL bar).

If you are still interested in getting a music artist for your next map Linaru, I can work with you :

I can also *try* to design specific sounds for items and monsters, but it's not really where I'm the best.

Editor Discussion / Re: Spawning boss issue
« on: September 19, 2013, 08:15:09 AM »
Yes you have to. Just spawn it with SpawnObject, and an AreaTrigger linked to a Shape. The HP Boss bar will show up automatically (it's coded in his XML).

You can also put the boss like this as an Actor. I think there's a script to activate it, otherwise he will be activated once the player hits him.
