[Spoilers?] Any Help for Worse Than -achievement?

Behind the teleporter that leads to the boss-button, there's a button, that opens a stairwell that leads back down to floor 1.

Apologies for double posting! I'm now pondering the Worse Than Ghosts and Goblins -achievement. I originally though I would get it if I'd get crushed by the castle, but it doesn't seem to be that easy. There are other parameters which are currently unknown to me. Any advice? Do I have to play a 3-player coop? Have the exact same amount of planks as they had in the video (which I actually think I had :p)?

I did it solo with the same amount of planks as them and I got it, so I don't think there is other parameters x)

Just tried it again, no achievement. Is the difficulty level relevant? Did you have any crutches?

I was in hard, no crutches

I'm in easy with 3 crutches (yea, was just running fast to get the other achievos :p). Can anyone confirm that this is indeed the problem before a start a hard run?

Bumping this up since apparently it is not enough to play through the game on Hard SP and fail at the end. Kinda annoyed to find that out after playing through the whole game. Does anyone have any concrete facts to say about the achievement?

I don't think that the difficulty is relevant for getting that achievement. You need to collect exactly 9 planks and then complete the game. I had to play through 3 times until I got it 1st time I rushed the game and collected 0 planks - no achievement, on the 2nd playthrough I collected 10 planks - still no achievement. Finally 9 planks did the trick.

The reason I collected 10 on the second playthough was I miss-calculated them in the video...

Should work yes, I think we completed it on easy last time we did a run with a few friends.
