Warlock ...Hair or Helmet?

Just a silly question but while playing with some of my friends we were arguing about his head.I still think that it´s some kind of helmet but some of them think that  it´s grey hair(Warlock = Old man). So....  Hair or Helmet?  What do you think?

Probably a hat as of that no other charachter has hair, also in older games there is generally no hair, for example, Super Mario (!) he has a hat, they did that due to that it is easier to make a hat than hair.

I _know_ it's a dark helmet. I wasn't sure what to add to his head to make him stand out from the wizard, so I in haste moved the pally helmet to him and made a new helmet for the paladin.
