how do i open up assets?
« on: April 21, 2014, 07:09:08 PM »
It's a .bin file and when I tried opening it up with a notepad, it stopped responding. Do I need to mount it as a disc image or something or what do I need to do @_@

You are supposed to use the resourceextractor.exe =) Drop the bin into it.

You can't change the port number in the game, it's hardcoded, you need to open up those ports in your router.

Bad news.
In fact, I'm a student and living in apartment. So my net is inner and i cant do portmapping to outer by myself.
I usually used some mapping software, but unfortunately i cant set the port by myself either.
And now i can only play hammerwatch with friends who are in same school :(
Most games like terraria or starbound have way to change port. i hope hammerwatch can do that some day.

You could hack this and change your port. Your college network that is, not the game. Look it up and see if you can do it, if not message me and I will help you. One quick fix that I can think of is using a VPN that supports port forwarding.
