system sound is turned off whenever game is launched

Whenever i launch the game, my entire system's sound is turned off (i stop hearing my spotify, skype and game music). I check the audio mixer and it has not changed. Rebooting seems to fix the problem. Occasionally when i am playing i hear the sound of a maggot nest exploding but nothing else?  I have checked and it is definitely whenever i play hammerwatch.

I would really appreciate it if this bug is fixed or a solution is found! Thanks in advance!

Audio Card: Creative sound BLASTER Audigy Rx (latest drivers)

It seems like OpenAL is really buggy on systems with Creative sound cards, which is super weird since Creative makes OpenAL, but oh well. You should try using a software implementation by downloading this DLL: http://www.hammerwatch.com/OpenAL32.dll and putting it in the hammerwatch directory.
