« on: September 13, 2014, 01:39:40 PM »
i got the game on steam and drm free since humble bundle and love it, but what version is better contentwise (like workshops etc.), i see that the maps are downloadable here too?
so the workshop is the same as the stuff posted here from users?

I would recommend using the steam version because most maps will be uploaded through workshop. But the original campaign is same as the DRM free version.

There are a few downloadable maps here at the forums but it is easier using the workshop feature.

Also: you will be able to find the Desert Campaign Beta in steam.

ps: The desert campaign is harder :)

Steam gets the updates first. You can still run the .exe without steam on and it still works without steam. The workshop feature is also very nice to auto update and keep track of custom maps and such. My friends wanted to grab some steam version sooner or later just so they can be achievement whores, haha since steam has achievements.
