Character / Steam profile name

When starting a new game, is it possible to change my character's name, or am I stuck with my Steam profile name?

If you go in to the Hammerwatch folder (Steam/steamapps/common/Hammerwatch) and start the game from there it will ask for a name, enter the name you want and then quit the game and launch it from Steam.

You could also change the name from steam, but Myran´s way is better

How?

open steam, go friends(friendlist) go the little arrow beside your name. Go the one at the bottom "change profile name" and change your name. Should work, if the translation is incorrect, my Steam is german.
