New player sprites

Well, not "new" exactly. I designed them back during the beta. I haven't had much time to do anything else, much to my chagrin. At some point I am hoping to have a whole new set of alternative player sprites (and later, a separate campaign).

Glad to see you uploaded these again, they are great.

Heres my Altered version of your 2 handed sword paladin. its just a recolour to make all 4 varients

Hmm, apparently by linking them as images instead of files I've ruined their transparencies. I'll fix it when I get back from work later.

I'm fairly new to the whole mod community here for Hammerwatch I was wondering if it'd be possible if you guys could inform me on how to add your Player Sprites and if possible how to star editing Player models, for I have a friend who I got into Hammerwatch and he's been dying to throw in new Player models. I wanted to surprise him with a few of the communities custom Player Sprites just to show him it could be done, any tips or suggestions D:

I'd suggest starting your own thread with that question - there are some knowledgeable people on this forum that know how to import player models. I've done new monsters, tilesets and doodads, but not player models yet.

You have to place them in the assets folder where they will overwrite the original player sprites. Thus, if you make the following folders inside your hammerwatch directory and name your sprites the same names as the originals, they will take their place when you load the game:

hammerwatch/assets/actors/player/knight_a.png or knight_b.png, etc.

Ah okay so they override them from the assets folder. Also you could name them whatever you want, and change the .xml for the player class to point to that picture instead! Challenge yourself to make a 32-bit player model instead of the 16-bit one :D
