[Windows] Solved puzzle, portal does not open.

He completed the light squares puzzle, but the portal did not open. We completed it about 3-4 times, at different times in the play through, and still no go. First time I played through we did it no problem, but this time it didn't work. Not sure if we did something wrong, but pretty sure we didn't...

was there something like a sound or a text that tells you, that you made the puzzle? Or just nothing happens?
